York General Sleep Studies: Rest Easy, Close to Home

York General Sleep Lab

At York General, we understand how important a good night’s sleep is for your overall health and well-being. That’s why our Sleep Studies program offers overnight testing right here in York—so you can find answers close to home if you may be experiencing a sleep disorder.

Our Sleep Study Department is proud to be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), a recognition that reflects our commitment to quality, integrity, and compassionate care.

Sleep studies are performed in our two-unit sleep lab located in the West View Medical Building. Each private room is designed with your comfort in mind—featuring a large, cozy bed and calming, home-like décor to help you feel at ease.

During your study, a skilled sleep technologist will gently monitor important functions such as brain activity, breathing, heart rate, and movement—all from a separate room so your rest is undisturbed. Afterward, a physician trained in sleep medicine carefully reviews the results and sends a report to your medical provider, who will then discuss next steps and any recommended treatment with you.

Why it matters: Left untreated, sleep disorders can affect your health and daily life. Symptoms may include:

  • Feeling tired during the day, even after a full night’s sleep
  • Loud snoring
  • Restless or disruptive sleep behaviors
  • Difficulty staying awake while driving or working

If any of these sound familiar, a sleep study could provide the answers you need. Please note: All sleep studies require a referral or order from your medical provider.

Location: West View Medical Building, 2319 N Lincoln Avenue, York, NE

Home Sleep Studies (HSTs)

York General offers Home Sleep Studies (HSTs) for adults age 18 and older. If you are under 18, sleep studies must be completed in our sleep lab for the most accurate results.

All studies are reviewed and interpreted by physicians who are board certified in sleep medicine, ensuring the highest level of care and accuracy.

How it works:

  • HSTs are available Monday through Friday.
  • Patients stop by to pick up the testing unit and take it home to use overnight.
  • The next day, the equipment is returned so the results can be analyzed.
  • Weekend studies are available, but patients must pick up the unit on Friday.

A Home Sleep Study provides a convenient way to evaluate possible sleep disorders in the comfort of your own home—while still receiving expert, reliable results.
