The positions are responsible for providing nursing care and are responsible for providing leadership to Medication Aides and Resident Assistants. Must have good organizational skills and demonstrate good judgement. Must provide care for and develop rapport with aged residents with a genuine interest in nursing and a desire to attend the frail elderly. Must have patience and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families and fellow employees. Must be alert and trained to recognize changes in conditions of residents. Radiologic Technologist (RPT)

Environmental Services Aide (FT)

York General Hospital

York General Hospital has a full-time opening for an Environmental Services Aide (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, every other weekend 7am-3:30pm, and some holidays.)  This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Hospital, Medical Office Building, and student house in a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.  Essential job duties include disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, and removal of trash of an assigned area on a daily basis, as well as responding to emergency cleaning.

Must be able to follow oral and written instruction in the English language.  Experience in housekeeping is preferred, but on-the-job training is provided. Record Analyst/Medical Coder (FT)

York General Home Health

Description of Responsibilities:  This is a combined position of record analyst and medical coder.  Four hours will be spent at each position per day qualifying as a full-time job with benefits. Record analyst duties include: Processing patient charts post discharge through scanning and deficiency analysis, providing excellent customer service to patients, doctors, nurses, and insurance company representatives, faxing requests for medical records while protecting patient’s privacy.  Medical coder duties include: Analyzing patient records to identify and assign with the help of the 3M encoder the correct ICD 10 and CPT codes for principal and secondary diagnoses.

Required Skills:  Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office, medical terminology, and HIPAA are desired.  Good communication skills, ability to learn quickly, think critically and problem solve with the confidence to work independently while maintaining patient confidentiality is a must. This position would help a new coder attain the six months of on-the-job training necessary to sit for the Certified Coding Associate certification exam.

Surgery CST (FT or PRN)

York General Hospital has an opening for a full-time or PRN (as needed) Certified Surgery Technician in our Surgical Department.  The schedule for the position would be Monday-Friday, plus an on call rotation.  Must have a thorough understanding of each proposed surgical procedure for patients of all ages and maintain careful observation and anticipation of each step in the operation while maintaining aseptic technique of the sterile field throughout the operation.  Prior experience in a Surgical Department is desirable but not required.   Applicants must be licensed or certified in the state of Nebraska, certification in BLS and requires ACLS & PALS within 6 months.

SPC Scheduler (RPT)

York General Hospital

York General Specialty Clinic has a regular part-time (24-35 hours a week) opening for a Scheduler.  Monday-Friday, day shift.  A qualified candidate will schedule and notify patients of appointments, greet patients, assist patients with new patient paperwork, and transport patients from various areas in the facility.   Responsibilities will also include transporting specimens to the Lab, communicating with physician offices regarding scheduling information, preparing schedules for each physician’s clinic,  and assisting with utilization and management of the scheduling system.  This position requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple tasks.  Prior experience in a related role and knowledge of medical terminology, use of a computer terminal, word processing, and keyboard skills are required.
