York General Hospital Surgical Services offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient surgical treatment options. Local general and visiting specialty surgeons maintain regular schedules. The dedicated and experienced nursing staff works closely with the surgeons to assure positive outcomes as well as patient comfort and safety.

In addition, anesthetists services are available 24 hours a day. Three full-time nurse anesthetists work as part of the team to provide appropriate pain management and support services throughout the operative period.

York General Hospital has two operating suites, one minor procedure room, a two-bed recovery room, and an eight-bed outpatient surgical area.
